Deep Truths Must Be Searched Out

God has given us a Bible that is full of truth and light. If we are to understand the deep meaning of the things that are written for us, we will need to study them and apply them to our lives. We like instant gratification, and we tend to look mostly at the surface of things. Understanding the deep things in the Bible requires meditation. Living a shallow Christian life is one result of not digging deeper into God's Word. It is not enough just to listen to the preaching of the Word and go to Sunday school. We possess the opportunity, time, and resources to study the Word.
